How much does it cost?
The estimated required investment for a single start-up Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company franchise location ranges from $158,500 to $339,000, including a franchise fee of $28,000. The bulk of the difference in this investment range is based on the type of location you select and what type of build out specifications may be necessary. As with any new business venture, it is important that you have available capital to adequately fund your new business.
Franchisees are required to pay royalties of 6% of gross revenues to the franchisor. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of products and procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and system upgrades.
Franchisees must spend at least 2% of gross revenues toward store-specific local marketing. Franchisees may also be required to contribute a total of up to 2% of gross revenues to the system advertising fund (currently the required contribution is set at 1%). These funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company brand and fund the creative costs as we develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.
How much will I make?
While profits are an integral and sustaining factor, we’re seeking franchisees with a greater sense of purpose than simply generating revenue. We’re in business to develop relationships, to support our community, and to create happiness…gourmet popcorn just happens to be the channel through which it all happens.
As with any business, the overall sales potential of your Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company store will depend on many factors, including traffic patterns, demographics, marketing strategies, and operating costs.
